Redmi K30 launch gets delayed to 2020, confirms Redmi General Manager
Redmi which was supposed to launch the Redmi K30 by the end of 2019 but according to reports it is not happening. Redmi General Manager confirms today that the K30 series will launch next year.
According to rumours previously suggested that the Redmi K30 will launch by the end of this year and Redmi K30 Pro will come next year. Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing shuts all rumours. In a recent Weibo post Weibing said that the Redmi K30 will launch next year, in 2020. Alongside the Redmi K30 the company will also bring Redmi K20 Pro.
Earlier Redmi GM confirmed that the Redmi K30 will come with 5G support. Rumours suggest that the company may launch two variants - one with 5G support and second one with 4G support. In the same Weibo post Redmi GM also said, ‘In 2020, Redmi is a 5G pioneer. See you at K30.’
However, this post somewhere gave hint that the next phone Redmi will launch will definitely be the Redmi K30. The post also reveals that Redmi will bring several 5G support phones in 2020.
The Redmi K20 is powered by Snapdragon 730 processor while the Redmi K20 Pro comes with Snapdragon 855 processor. Some rumours suggest that for the Redmi K30 the company will opt for MediaTek chip while the Pro version aka Redmi K30 Pro will come with flagship processor from Qualcomm Snapdragon.
Redmi is likely moving from pop-up camera to punch hole for the Redmi K30 series. Some leaked renders of the Redmi K30 reveals that the smartphone will come with a punch-hole display. The Redmi K30 is expected to come with a dual selfie camera. The Redmi K20 comes with a single pop-up selfie camera.
