Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth has not given a concrete statement on floating his party. While talking to media he said he never wanted to become Chief Minister if he do so he would be called a fool he just want to give power to youngsters.
Chennai: Actor-turned-politician Rajinikanth has not given a concrete statement on floating his party. While talking to media he said he never wanted to become Chief Minister if he do so he would be called a fool he just want to give power to youngsters.
In his recent statement ahead of Tamil Nadu Assembly election next year, 69 years old actor-politician said, “I never thought of Chief Minister’s post. I only want a change in politics. If change in government and politics, not happen now it will never happen”.
He further added his proposal includes appointing “educated and compassionate youngster” as the Chief Minister. He wants to bring people in politics who are under 40.
Last week, after his meeting with district secretaries of Rajini Makkal Mandram, without explaining much he said, “we have discussed many issues, personally I am disappointed about one thing, I will tell when the time comes”.
“There were two stalwarts in our politics Jayalalithaa and Kalaignar, people voted for them, but now there is a vacuum. We need to create a new movement to bring change”. Said Rajnikanth at the press meet at five-star hotel in Chennai.
Earlier this month, Rajinikanth has met some leaders from the Muslim outfit and talked about the issues of the National Population Register (NPR), Amendment Act (CAA) and the National Register of Citizens (NCR). After his meeting with Muslim leaders, he said on Twitter that he is ready to play any role to maintain peace in the country. In past Rajinikanth has also said that he would be the first to raise voice if even a single Muslim is harmed by the CAA.
