Next-Gen Mahindra Thar spotted Testing again
The nex-gen Mahindra Thar, which was supposed to be inaugurated in 2020 Auto Expo is being tested rigorously across the country.
Mahindra has already begun work on the next-gen Mahindra Thar, which is expected to make its public debut at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new Thar is going to be a heavily reworked SUV, as it will sport several mechanical and cosmetic changes over the current-generation off-roader.
Another test mule of 2020 Mahindra Thar was spotted testing. The bonnet has more surface area than before and the flared wheel arches. Mahindra could surprise us with a hardtop variant as well. The rear fascia will receive a tailgate with proper glass windshield and revised combination lights.
The new Mahindra Thar will have a much better road presence with a hint of modernity. The interior is completely new While the exterior design is more of an evolution. The SUV receives an all-new dashboard with upright panels, better equipped center console, new instrument console with MID and a multi-function steering wheel borrowed from the TUV300.
2020 Thar will have widely improved front seats with forwarding facing rear bench and better side bolstering. The new seating arrangement and improved dashboard clearly suggest that Mahindra wants its latest Thar to not only be a niche off-roader but also appeal to a wider audience.
The car will also have standard safety features like as ABS, dual front airbags, etc. As far as Powertrain lineup is concerned, the 2020 Mahindra Thar is likely to retain the existing 2.5-liter diesel engine (BS-VI version).
