There is no expertise required to cook Aloo Pakora. You can have them in the form of snacks, side dishes or even with dal chawal. It is yummier to have it with chutney or ketchup. Also to serve your guest, this is a quick rescue dish. Learn this mouth-watering dish in an easy way with below steps.
Here are the Ingredients to prepare:
- 3 medium potato
- 200 ml of water
- 1 teaspoon thymol seeds
- 4 pinches salt
- 100 gm gram flour (Besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 refined oil as required
Step 1: First, you need to wash the potatoes. Next cut them into thin round slices.
Step 2: In one bowl, take the gram flour. Add water in it slowly to form a smooth paste. You should see that the batter has the proper consistency.
Step 3: In the batter, add cumin seeds, thymol, red chili powder, and salt. Now mix it well. Next, you have to dip the potato slices in the mixture. Properly mix it.
Step 4: Now take a deep frying pan. Add oil and heat it up for a while. When the oil gets heated, put the potato slices one by one in the oil. Once they turn golden yellow, you can take them out in a plate. But before that place the tissue on the plate so that it can absorb the excess oil.
Another thing to be noted is to fry the pakoras at low flame. This way they are cooked properly.
Step 5: Lastly, you can serve the hot pakoras along with tamarind or mint chutney and ketchup.
