Baahubali 2 team to work in Darshan's Kurukshetra
CGI for the film starring Darshan will be done by the 'Baahubali' team.
Darshan’s 50th film Kurukshetra, Sandalwood’s most expensive film, will be a 3D film. This will be the first 3D film in Kannada since 2012. Katari Veera Surasundarangi was the last time a film was made in 3D in Kannada. Incidentally, MLA Munirathna Naidu is the producer of both films.
Director Naganna confirmed the development. “The film will have a 3D version along with the 2D version,” Naganna told Mirror. The film will be officially launched on July 30 while shooting starts on August 7 at specially constructed sets at the Ramoji Film Studio in Hyderabad. “The CGI work has already started. A team that worked on Baahubali is working for our film. The film will be shot in 3D and all preparations have been made” he said.
Ever since the film was announced, there has been intense speculation about the cast and crew. Speculation was fuelled by reports that several top stars of Sandalwood were approached for important roles in the film. The names of Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi and Tamil star Arjun Sarja are still being spoken about for the crucial role.
