Sri Lanka was rattled by six bomb blasts in quick sessions on Easter morning, the bombing left around 500 people killed in the blast, the worst catastrophic after the Civil War in the country in ten years.

Sushma Swaraj, the Foreign Minister said,"Indian High Commission in Colombo has conveyed that National Hospital has informed them about the death of three Indian nationals”, named Narayan Chandrashekar, Ramesh and Lakshmi. The Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka said 2 more Indians were also killed, identified as M Rangappa and G Hanumantharayappa. 

Also US, UK, Netherlands and Japan citizens were also killed in the blasts.

Ruwan Wijewardene, State Minister of Defence said 24 individuals have been arrested who are from the Muslim community, and didn’t share the details of the people arrested. He said, “Don't give extremists a voice. Don't help to make them martyrs”.
